Layla (14) and Ana (14), two students from a Madrasah, skipped school and went to a secluded spot overlooking the sea. Layla asked Ana to take a portrait of her without her hijab. Ana was hesitant, concerned about the potential consequences if the photo were to be shared. Mauliya Maila is an Indonesian filmmaker actively involved in producing short films and working as an assistant director in the industry. Filmography: Loenpia Asri (2023), Distraction From Heaven (2021), Babad Wingking Griya (2022), both received awards for Best Fiction Short Film at the Sumedang Short Film Festival. They also made it to the Indonesia Raja Minikino program representing Central Java and were screened as part of the featured program at the Purbalingga Film Festival, Layar Tanjleb.
